Limited Bentley Mulsanne 2009 Four Season Edition for China

Tomorrow, the Guangzhou Auto Show starts in China. The big and luxurious brands such as Bentley are present at this show. This week, Bentley showed us the limited Mulsanne Four Season Edition. They will build only 45 copies and the car is only for the Chinese market.

The ‘Four Seasons edition’ comes in a series of five cars which refer to the traditional five elements and the four seasons. These elements are earth, wood, fire, metal and water. These elements are spread over five cars. The most unique Mulsanne is the golden copy that consists the element earth and stands for all four seasons. Only ten copies of this version will be build and sold for a price of 1.46 million Dollar! That’s quite a price for a Bentley Mulsanne.

Next to this version, there are four other Four Season editions. Five copies will be made of each car. The green copy refers to spring and wood. The red car refers to summer and fire and the white car refers to autumn and metal. Eventually, the black Mulsanne refers to winter and water. These four editions with a price of 1.13 million Dollars are a bit cheaper. The standard price for a Mulsanne in China is 0.86 million Dollar.

Every Mulsanne gets a complete bespoke interior in which Bentley used traditional Chinese wood. The golden Mulsanne gets an interior with plum wood. According to Chinese traditions, a plum tree has magical powers which protect the house against evil spirits. The green Mulsanne has wood from an orchid while the red car has bamboo in its interior. The white car has wood from a chrysanthemum and the winter edition has wood from a pine tree. Our partner in China, CarNewsChina, will sen dus some reports and photos from the Auto Show so we hope to show you some photos of these cars later this week.
