How only a small chip can improve a car. We thought the 6.2 liter V8 was completely developed but a simple chip can make this engine even more powerful. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series isn’t the first car you think of when we talk about a power boost, but DKR offers a boost for the price of 3000 Euros. Might be useful when you stop at the traffic light next to another Black Series.
Standard, the engine produces 631 hp, but with this chip the power is boosted to 654 hp. This is a boost of four percent, so we don’t know if you will really notice. The torque is also increased to 649 Nm. Quite impressive but we don’t know whether the car really needs more power. McChip-DKR announces that this is only Stage 1 tuning of the engine, which means that we can expect more powerful versions in the future. Maybe they will add some turbos but this will make the Black Series a completely different car, so maybe this chiptuning is the best solution for those looking for a more powerful SLS AMG Black Series.
