From South-Africa to Switzerland, the first copies of the sold out McLaren P1 can be found at the dealerships while other customers are still waiting to get hold of their P1. In the Middle-East, there's a big demand for the hypercar and we now see a new copy on its way to its rightful owner in Dubai.
Mahmoud Attia sent us some photos he made last Sunday in Dubai. This is probably the second copy in Dubai. Earlier, we already saw a bright orange copy, which still has to be spotted. This copy is painted in the colour Volcano Orange with a lot of carbon fiber. A beautiful version which we hope to see on the streets soon!
The P1 is the biggest competitor of Porsche's hypercar, the 918 Spyder. Another competitor is the LaFerrari by Ferrari. In 2014, the battle between the hypercars will really start. McLaren said that they drove a lap on the Nürburgring within 7 minutes, besides that, we don't know much about the P1. The V8 of the P1 produces 727 hp and the electric engine produces another 176 hp. The top speed is limited to 350 kph.
