Mobile Mechanics Might Love Tackling New Tactical Jeep Gladiator Modifications

Whether you live in a crowded city, the mountain country, or near a desert, there’s nothing like a having a Jeep to not only get you from point A to point B, but to have as much fun as possible doing it. In other words, owning a Jeep isn’t about the vehicle. For many adventurous persons, it’s a way of life.

Case and point? Many Jeep owners aren’t satisfied with their 4X4s until they’ve packed them with as many add-ons/modifications as possible, some of them even a little outlandish, such as camping tents that mount to the roof rack, or even roof-top mounted Airsoft machineguns. Some Jeep lovers have so much work done on their 4X4s, they practically keep their garage mechanics on retainer. Some won’t even let the Jeep out of their sight and prefer to work with a mobile mechanic.

Makes sense too. Says one such mobile mechanic expert from the San Francisco Bay Area, you can get routine/planned Jeep servicing, 60K to 90K mile service checkups, planned maintenance, Jeep add-on/modification work, and even preventive Jeep maintenance right in your driveway. Or, if you need serious engine work, they will grab your keys, take the Jeep to a certified dealer, and deliver the Jeep right back to you the same day. Such is the convenience of a mobile mechanic.

Then there’s the new Jeep that, even without any modifications or add/ons, is not so much a four-wheel drive vehicle, but a monster. According to a new article, most Jeep models are well built, but the new Jeep Gladiator is built tough enough to survive Armageddon. Said to be one of the most sought after if not “hottest” off-road vehicles on the market today, the Jeep Gladiator combines both Jeep and pickup truck to deliver a tough as nails off-roading experience.

Jeep Modification Platform
Says Autos.Yahoo.com, while this new generation of Jeeps is not perfect, it does offer a terrific platform what Jeep enthusiasts love to do most: build an even better Jeep with add-ons/modifications. The Gladiator can be outfitted for weekend fun as easily as it can be built out for battle, which it originally was in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Power
Most Jeeps are powerful enough to demolish a house, and the Gladiator is no exception. Its new engine is a 6.2-liter LS3 V8. This means it’s got plenty of torque and horsepower to pull itself out of a mud-filled ditch, or a give you a fast ride on a long stretch of open road.

Performance Mods
There are many performance modifications engineered for the Jeep Gladiator. In fact, it was designed with rough, off-road conditions in mind. If you so choose, you can have your mechanic add-on Rock Slide Engineering power step sliders, HD adjustable trackbars on both the front and the rear, 4.5-inch coil-overs for up front, plus some big and beefy Yokohama Geolander X-MT tires, and so much more.

Overland Expeditions
Overland expeditions that take days or even weeks, require the right kind of gear. What can make this possible is a mid-cab bed rack. Undercover swing storage cases plus Hi-Lift storage cases will keep all your stuff free from the elements including dust, mud, sand, and rain.

If you really want to go to the extreme, you can literally live in your Jeep Gladiator with a rooftop tent that connects to your bed rack. It also allows you to sleep up and away from the wildlife such as bears and snakes.

Let There be Light
The Jeep Gladiator can be quipped with numerous LED lighting systems like underbody rock lighting, LED rear lights, and roof and pillar-mounted lights. All of these LED lighting systems can be managed by a dash-mounted electronic digital display. The lights come in handy when negotiating dark trails and when you’re camping out at night.

There’s nothing quite like a Jeep for taking control of the outdoors. If you do manage to get stuck in a ditch, don’t worry, a front grill-mounted winch will pull you out. From state-of-the-art GPS systems to two-way radio communication systems, there’s no end to what you can outfit your Jeep Gladiator with, all of which can be installed by either a traditional garage mechanic or a mobile mechanic. And that’s a good thing. Because, in the end, you just might need this monster of a ride for bugging out to a safe location should Armageddon become a reality.
