Monumental supercar spotted: Koenigsegg CC8S

All articles we recently wrote about Koenigsegg had their newer models as subject. We must not forget Koenigsegg is a car manufacterer since 2002, ten years from now. Time to look back at their first product, the CC8S. In Skagen, Denmark, a copy was spotted.

Only six copies of the Koenigsegg CC8S were ever made by hand, in the factory in Ängelholm. It has some clear similarities with the newest Agera R, but in terms of technology, the Agera R is lightyears ahead of the CC8S. The CC8S was the beginning for Koenigsegg. In the back, a 655 bhp V8 can be found. That’s a lot, but let´s not forget that the current models of Koenigsegg have at least 300 extra horsepower! The entire bodywork is made out of carbon fiber and the design has its unique doors like the models still have. During the production period between 2002 and 2004 the car even won a price for Guinnes World Record for the Most Powerful Production Engine. The performances are still extreme nowadays. Koenigsegg says this car can do 390 kph so as a sprint to hundred kilometers per hour in just 3.5 seconds. Of course this car doesn’t have many electronic safety features, and with a manual gearbox it can be very hard to drive this car safely and fast.
