NAIAS 2015: Lexus GS F is hot!

Four doors and plenty of room for at least four adults. Lexus enters the small segment of family super sports cars with their GS F today. The Lexus GS F was officially unveiled at the NAIAS 2015 yesterday.

Chief Engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi had a clear goal with the development of the Lexus GS F. ‘“With the GS F, we wanted to make a special car that not only would exceed the expectations of the most discerning driving enthusiast, but also something that most people can enjoy. In that way, the GS F embraces the virtues of sound, response and power, the cornerstones of the Lexus ‘F’ brand.”

The GS F is born at the Fuji track in Japan and is refined at the Nordschleife in Germany. To keep up with the power of the brutal V8, the entire suspension was redesigned and the GS F was also fitted with a new braking system including bright orange calipers. The testing on the Nordschleife turned the GS F into an amazing car which is impressively stable at high speeds and does great in fast corners.

The difference with the normal GS series is visible for everybody. The GS F is much wider and lower and is fitted with special designed 19 inch alloy wheels. Next to that the car has a subtle carbon spoiler at the back and the four characterizing exhausts. The grille was adjusted to improve the aerodynamics and cooling for the 5.0 liter V8.
