While the Porsche 911 Dakar can be ordered in a simple color, there are several exciting liveries to choose from. One particularly captivating option is the Dakar 1971 Livery.

The thrilling rally history of the Porsche 911, far from paved roads, stretches back to before its historic victory at the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1984. However, the origins of these exciting adventures date back to the 1970s, when the Porsche 911 showcased its prowess at the East African Safari Rally. Memories of these early endeavors are vivid.
While the design of the optional Rally Design Package for the Porsche 911 Dakar draws strong inspiration from the victorious model of 1984, Porsche also offers three exclusive liveries that reflect the appearance of the participant vehicles from 1971, 1974, and 1978 at the East African Safari Rally.

The Safari Rally led the courageous participants on an incredible journey of over 5,000 kilometers through the breathtaking landscapes of savannas, desert bushlands, and the highlands of Kenya. Undoubtedly, this rally stands as one of the most demanding challenges in motorsport. In 1971, Porsche first entered this exceptional event with a factory team. The modified Porsche 911 S models bore simple black decals on the hood, front fenders, and doors as their distinguishing exterior feature.
The Rally 1971 Livery for the Porsche 911 Dakar captures this iconic design and adds the legendary race number 19, belonging to one of the most successful vehicles in this rally. A Polish driver duo, Sobiesaw Zasada and Marian Bie, steered this vehicle to an impressive fifth place in 1971. The reproduction of this livery is available for enthusiasts and fans for €4,165.
