One of the most controversial colors from Porsche

Everything in this world that is loved also has its haters. This color is exactly such a case. Especially for a Porsche fan, this color is almost sacred. Others who do not know the history of the color find it kitschy and ugly.

Of course, we are talking about Rubystar Red. One of the most striking colors that the PTS program from Porsche has to offer. The color first appeared on a very special car: the 964 RS, which was built from 1989 to 1994. For the automotive industry of that time, the color was exceptionally modern and eye-catching. It wasn’t even considered a special color back then; it was available as a standard color. Today, anyone who wants to have this color painted on their car has to pay a significant amount on top of the already high price. However, the exclusive manufacture has been around for quite a long time. As early as the 70s, you could customize your Porsche according to your individual wishes at the exclusive manufacture. However, everything was a bit simpler back then compared to today, where anything is possible. We remember the colorful GT3 Touring we saw. It was painted in all colors in a gradient.

This 718 Spyder RS is, of course, not configured as extremely as the Touring, but a very classic color was chosen. And let’s be honest, it looks really great in this color.
