After a week which was all about the Porsche 918 Spyder it is now time to give another Porsche a lot of attention in Paris. The Germans show us the Panamera Sport Turismo, this is not only a beautiful concept car but it also shows us the future regarding a efficient and modern drive.
The Panamera Sport Turismo is all but a boring family car. It’s maybe even cooler than a Panamera. This partly due to the new front and back of the car. The rear stands out because of its typical shooting-brake look. This is something we see more and more often. Meanwhile everybody will know that this version is doing very well. The interior is a more modern version of the current Porsche interior. Less buttons and more touch screen. If you ask us, we would love to see this car at the dealerships soon!
Normally, the most interesting part of a car are the looks but this time it is all about the drive of the Panamera Sport Turismo. Porsche choose for a hybrid drive and this technology is a development of the system which we also see in the Cayenne and Panamera Hybrid. In the front we find a V6 which is helped by a electro motor which produces 95 bhp. The peak power of the car is 416 bhp and this is just a lot ! You can drive 30 kilometers completely electric and when you drive electric you can reach a top speed of 130 km/h. The testing shows us that the hybrid technology works very well, the V6 has a consumption of 3.5 liters per 100 kilometers. The emission of the car is only 82 grams CO2 per kilometer. The performance of the car is also very well. You have a top speed of over 250 km/h and you accelerate to 100 km/h in less than six seconds.
