In just a couple of days, the 2nd North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo race is taking place here in Kansas City (yes, we can't believe it either that they picked Kansas of all places). We were able to get special access to the pit where the pit crews were getting all the cars ready for races on Friday and Saturday. We were able to get some great photos without the usual race crowd. Attached are photos from the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo, car no. 1.
There are five Super Trofeo race series alongside Grand-AM, ALMS and IndyCar, starting at American Le Mans North East Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park on July 5th, followed by the Kansas Speedway (this weekend), Calabogie Canada, Virginia International Speedway and Auto Club Speedway and finally Fontana California. The North American winners are to compete in the Super Trofeo 'World Series' finale in Italy against the best from Europe and Asia.

One of the unique aspects of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series is the opportunity for North American drivers to measure themselves against the best drivers in Europe and Asia, with the leading contenders from all three series invited to attend a World Final in Vallelunga, near Rome, Italy, in November.
