Spotdetails
September 2024
Last week after the barber I wanted to check if anything interesting was driving around the city centre, while driving there a black Lamborghini Diablo passed by, I've tried to chase it but ended up missing it, so I came back to the previous plan and went to Turin's main street Via Roma, parked my Clio in a nearby street, the one where the 5-Star hotel Principi di Piemonte is located, and then started walking around, even if I have seen many great cars (like 2 Lamborghinis, including the Diablo, and 5 Ferraris, including my second Purosangue on the road but first of which I took some pics even if without being able to spot it) this 911 ended up being the only spot.
But this is not a normal 997, but a rare Turbo S Cabriolet, this car also drove past several times but I've always missed it, then it finally stopped for a few minutes near the luxury cafes where I do often spot nice cars, took some pics then owner arrived and left, while he was waiting at the traffic light I asked him if I could take a pic of the steering wheel and he kindly accepted, he actually even straightened it to have the Porsche logo in the right position, then while he was blocked in traffic as it often happens during week-ends I have took some more pics, including both rear pics I'm posting, the side pic and the front pic used as a thumbnail.
I don't know if the car wears a new registration because it was recently imported from abroad or it was just re-registered but it's interesting to note that this year none of the just 2 (but one was posted twice) 997 Turbo Cabriolets that were posted in Italy had Italian plates, for that you need to come back to 2021!
