Porsche crushes Ring-record with the 918 Spyder

While we receive a lot of news from Frankfurt, Porsche comes up with some other news next to the world premiere of the production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder. The Porsche 918 Spyder is the first production car which managed to drive a lap on the Nürburgring within seven minutes. Racing legend Walter Röhrl just confirmed a lap time of 6 minutes and 5 seconds, what a performance!

The old record was set by the Dodge Viper ACR and is crushed with another fifteen seconds. Porsche invited three drivers to beat this record. European Rally Champion and racing legend Walther Röhrl, Porsche test driver Timo Kluck and Porsche factory driver Marc Lieb where the lucky ones to driver this car on the Nürburgring. All three drivers managed to beat the record of the Dodge Viper ACR but eventually it was Marc Lieb who set a time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds. Which car will be able to break this record?
