Besides building exotic sports cars, Spyker was also active in motorsport in their first years. Specially for Le Mans, the C8 Double 12R was built. Of this C8, a long-tail version, Spyker built a few street versions, named C8 Double 12S. In China, a unique copy of this car was spotted.
The number of copies on Autogespot doesn't even reach ten. The more compact C8 Spyder was more popular when it was built. A four liter V8 from BMW was boosted because of the racing restrictions and it became more powerful than the C8 Spyder and eventually produced up to 620 hp. The street model was available in different power stages, varying from 400 to 620 hp. The low weight of the Spyker makes 500 hp more than enough for this sports car.
In China, where a Ferrari or Lamborghini isn't exclusive enough, importing a Spyker is a great alternative for a Koenigsegg or Pagani. A Spyker isn't very expensive nowadays and with that much money it won't be very hard to get a Chinese license plate for the car.
