It isn't such a strang idea. The low lines of the Mercedes-Benz CLA have place for four doors but according to the photoshoppers of X-Tomi Design, it looks even better with two doors less. This makes the CLA instead of a mini-CLS a mini-CL. Of course, this rendering is made based on the most powerful version, the CLA 45 AMG.
The last generation A-Class was also available as a three doors version. This looked, as far as possible, more sporty than the five-doors version. The A-Class is only available with five doors at this moment but we wouldn't be surprised when a three-doors copy will appear on a Motor Show soon. Audi and BMW also have a three-doors hatchback so why wouldn't Mercedes-Benz? Because the CLA is mostly based on the A-Class, it isn't such a strange idea to make the CLA a real coupé.
