Renewed Audi R8 GT Plus to be introduced at Le Mans

The new Audi R8 is already available for some months, but isn’t spotted that often. By now, Audi thinks it is time to send out a renewed version of the Audi R8 GT to the streets, under the name Audi R8 GT Plus. This car will have its debut just after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and will surely appear on Autogespot shortly after.

When it comes to specs, no dramatic changes are done. We can still find the same 5.2 liter V10 which will send its power, 560 bhp, to all four wheels. When the power is divided optimally, it is possible to go to hundred kph in 3.2 seconds. This however is only possible due the use of the bespoke Quattro-driving system. The only downside of the car is that Audi still doesn’t consider introducing a hardcore model with rearwheeldrive only, just for battling Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The looks will not change dramatically, we expect the changes to be the same as those of the normal facelifted models. The R8 GT Plus Spyder is planned to be introduced next year.
