Special BMW's: Frozen Silver Edition & Lime Rock Park Edition

A lot of special editions are made nowadays. A jubilee is a reason for a lot of manufacturers to come up with a limited edition. The subject of this article are two BMW M3’s. The names of these limited models are Frozen Silver Edition and Lime Rock Park Edition.

M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition
First, the matte M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition. BMW made only 100 copies of this model especially for the United Kingdom, to celebrate BMW M GmbH’s 40th anniversary. Next to the tough paint, the exterior has some other aspects that make it a unique car. These aspects are nineteen inch matte black wheels, a new exhaust, extra carbon fiber details and a lowered undercarriage.

Inside the car, they’ve chosen for a Black Novillo leather interior with light grey accents and again, carbon fiber. On a small plaque you’ll find the name of this special edition together with the serial number of the car.

M3 Coupe Lime Rock Park Edition
The unique M3 Coupe Lime Rock Park Edition is made in collaboration with Bill Auberlen and Skip Barber, owners of the Lime Rock Park track. Reason for this collaboration is the long relation between BMW, the famous track and the passionate drivers who love to visit this track. Bill Auberlen helped developing this car by his own judgment. He is a racing driver for seventeen years and drove more than 300 races for BMW. This Lime Rock Park Edition is painted in the famous Fire Orange paint which we know from the M3 GTS. To make the car ready for track-use, the car is fitted with the Competition Package. Every copy can be recognized by a unique serial number in the interior of the car.
