Top sporter Usain Bolt is the official ambassador of Nissan as ‘Director of Excitement’, since November. This function resulted in a unique GT-R which was auctioned for charity. The result of the auction is an amount of money of 187.100 U.S. Dollars.
The total amount of money which is raised is even higher, 193.191 U.S. Dollars. This because the Australian buyer also bought some extra Usain gadgets like shoes, helmets and a track package. A reggae CD wasn’t included in the package. The money goes directly to the Usain Bolt Foundation. The money will be used for projects on Jamaica for youth and children in the field of culture and education. The Bolt GT-R stands out because of its golden paint and several real gold details in the interior. Nissan lets the customer completely adjust the performance of the car to its own wishes. This makes it a real one-off. The car will be delivered in March 2013.
