At the moment, we are being flooded with sightings from Monaco, as many people seem to be spending their holidays in Monaco or the surrounding cities such as Cannes and Nice with their supercars and hypercars. Here is one of the highlights from Cannes.
The summer holidays are now over in many places, including for me, and I have quite a lot to catch up on. One of the most viewed sightings from the past three weeks, while I was on holiday, was this F80, and quite rightly so. It has a lot to offer and there are several things that make it particularly special. Starting with the most obvious detail, it does not have the black panel across the front. This is exactly what many Ferrari critics have complained about. The black panels on the front of many modern Ferraris are often considered unattractive. I have a slightly different opinion on this, but even I have to admit that the F80 looks extremely clean without the black panel. It gives the impression that there is more surface area at the front of the car. However, the owner clearly has a good eye for design, because he has kept the black panels around the headlights. This makes the headlights appear larger and more prominent. Without them, they would probably almost disappear into the front bonnet.
Another major plus point is the rest of the specification. You have to admit that the F80 looks incredibly good and modern in this matte grey colour with the red details. It is a very striking combination. But as the saying goes, a hypercar rarely comes alone. This F80 is certainly not alone here. Parked behind it is a Bugatti Chiron, and behind the Bugatti there is even a Mercedes-Benz G 4x4². You could almost call this a typical Côte d’Azur combination. What a sight.
