The 992 GT3 MkII Weissach Package in the wild: Five cars, five statements

The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a symbol of pure driving passion, and the latest 992 GT3 MkII generation continues that legacy with a sharp new edge. While it retains its naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, producing 510 PS and screaming all the way to 9,000 rpm, the 992 GT3 MkII introduces key technical refinements. Porsche has shortened the final drive for both the 6-speed manual and 7-speed PDK gearbox, giving the car even more urgency on throttle, especially out of slower corners. Visually, it receives subtle but effective aerodynamic tweaks, including new front and rear fascias designed to increase downforce while maintaining its aggressive stance.

But the real headline this time around? For the first time ever, the GT3 without the RS badge can now be ordered with the Weissach Package. Long a staple of the GT3 RS and other top-tier Porsche performance models, the Weissach Package brings serious motorsport-grade components to the "standard" GT3. These include extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) for the roof, rear wing endplates, mirrors, and front air blades. Suspension elements like the anti-roll bars, rear axle components, and underbody bracing are also swapped for lightweight carbon versions. Inside, the Race-Tex upholstery, exposed carbon accents, and optional CFRP roll cage elevate the track-ready vibe. To top it off, customers can spec forged magnesium wheels, available only with the Weissach Package, reducing unsprung weight by nearly 9 kg for sharper, more communicative handling.

In just a few days, five different examples of the new 992 GT3 MkII equipped with the Weissach Package were uploaded to our site, each one standing out in its own way.

The first one to be spotted was a stealthy satin black example in Düsseldorf, Germany. It paired its deep black finish with gloss carbon fiber details from the Weissach Package and satin black wheels, giving it an intimidating and perfectly matched look. It was a clear signal that the Weissach GT3 had arrived, not just on paper, but on the streets.

Shortly after, a white GT3 was seen in Monaco, offering a stark contrast to the black one. The clean white paint let the carbon components stand out more vividly, especially around the wing, mirrors, and roof. This build leaned into the precision and technical beauty of the Weissach details, rather than sheer aggression.

The third sighting brought something special from the Netherlands. A silver GT3, seen in Houten, made the Weissach Package pop more than any other example so far. The brighter paint tone amplified the visual texture of the exposed carbon elements, and this one was also equipped with the optional magnesium wheels, a standout choice for those who want the full motorsport spec.

Interestingly, a second white GT3 was spotted again in Monaco, also wearing German plates. While it shared the same base color as the earlier Monaco car, it's clearly a different example. The first one was fitted with grey wheels, while this second one stood out with black wheels and a distinctive red stripe decal running along the bottom of the doors with “GT3” lettering. Once again, the Weissach carbon elements added to the visual impact, making it a real standout even in Monaco’s sea of high-end machinery.

Finally, a grey GT3 made an appearance in Budapest, Hungary. More muted than the others, this car had a sophisticated presence. The darker grey paint harmonized with the carbon accents instead of contrasting them, offering a subtle but undeniably purposeful aesthetic.

With a base price starting around €180,000, it doesn’t take much to push a 992 GT3 MkII into supercar territory. Tick the Weissach Package (approx. €18,000), add magnesium wheels (about €15,000), and throw in other desirable upgrades like carbon-ceramic brakes, and you're easily crossing the €250,000 mark.

This is the most focused, customizable, and versatile GT3 yet. And with the addition of the Weissach Package, Porsche has created a GT3 that bridges the gap between road and race better than ever before, without requiring buyers to jump to an RS badge.
