We already published a few articles in the ‘The best of’ series and it’s still amazing to read some personal experiences behind spots. Santapanter also wrote his story for this series. We’ve received a lot of submissions and you still have three days left to send in your story. You can expect some more stories in the next few days.
The first photo belongs on the list of my best spots ever. The ‘owner’ lives on a trailer park and this Porsche Panamera Turbo by Caractere Exclusive comes from a small car company where the ‘owner’ works. After a small talk he offered me a ride. The 620 hp were all used during this ride, the movie that comes with this spot shows it all. One of my most memorable moments of 2013.
Up to the second photo, taken of a famous car. The Veyron with around 1000 hp, in an orange wrap at Spring Event. This event was a great moment to extend my portfolio because I was on the list of official photographers. I had not experienced something like this before so this was a great experience. The photo of this event reminds me of all the events I visited and the great moments I had with Rijen-gespot, Spotter Koen and Mazeratie, last year.
The next photo is one with a nice story. We saw the (still young) owner of this car in Antwerp during a trip with school. After a short talk and taking some photos in the garage, we shared contacts so I could send the owner some photos. After this, we decided to organize a small photoshoot, unfortunately it rained that day, but we did had a fun time.
The fourth photo is about an Audi RS4 B8 with 450 hp which is spotted in Breda, the Netherlands. I’ve spotted a lot of cars in Breda, last year together with Rijen-gespot, Renniexxl and even with the Irish spotter Arthurdoylephotography. This RS4 in the car wash is maybe not my best spot from Breda but I personally really like this photo.
We now arrived at the photo of my personal Car of the Year 2013. I’m a big fan of the British styling and Jaguar made a new icon with their F-Type. The Convertible is really beautiful but the Coupé looks even better. Especially the Coupé R, which I spotted with some camouflage last summer, produces up to 550 hp with its Supercharged V8. With a photo competition for Jaguar the Netherlands, I won two free tickets for the Masters of LXRY. Together with Renniexxl and Mazeratie I went spotting in Amsterdam after which we visited this show.
Finally, my last photo. During the holidays I got a present, I had the chance to celebrate new year in London. We would head to London on 29 December to return home at 1 January. During my days in London I had to see the fireworks at New Years Eve, it took me three hours to get a good spot but what an amazing show! I had some great days in London where I spotted several amazing cars. I wasn’t there for spotting so this aren’t my best photos but still, this photo of a Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible with the 630 hp strong W12 under the hood belongs in my ‘best of 2013’ list.
