The famous Clio V6

When the name Renault Clio is mentioned, most individuals might not find themselves brimming with excitement. However, append "V6" to that moniker, and you've successfully piqued the interest of many car enthusiasts.

In 1980, Renault unveiled the Renault 5 Turbo, a compact and lightweight hatchback model with both the engine and drive situated at the rear. Produced until 1986, it appeared to be the singular representative of its kind for a period, until Renault reworked the identical concept in 2001, giving rise to the Renault Clio V6. As the name implies, this model boasted a V6 engine, now positioned in the middle of the vehicle, displacing the customary rear seat.
The specimen captured by spotter Joos Straetmans in Huizen is a second-generation Clio V6. This generation is more predictable, and the engine, thanks to Porsche tuning, responds more directly to the driver's inputs. All these attributes ensure that most Clio V6 models remain in the hands of their proud owners for a long time. Interestingly, this particular specimen was spotted in 2008 with the same license plate it still carries today.
