If there's anything rarer than a supercar or a hypercar, it's concept vehicles. On one hand, they weren't designed for the road, and on the other hand, each of them was produced only once.
The entire vehicle dates back to 2001. The world of concept vehicles was at its peak. Every brand and manufacturer introduced numerous concept vehicles to the market, each meant to represent its respective marque. Rarely were these vehicles ever realized. The Stola S81 Stratos was intended to present the Lancia Stratos in a new light. The Turin-based design studio Stola unveiled the concept car at the Turin Motor Show in 2001, about 28 years after the debut of the original Lancia Stratos, which, as we all know, became one of the most successful race cars of all time. The "S81" in the name was a reference to the 81st anniversary of the founding of Alfredo Stola's workshop in 1919. The entire vehicle is based on a Maserati 3200 GT V8, and the entire shell around the car was made of epoxy resin. It is truly extraordinary to see such a vehicle on the road.
