Some may still remember when Mercedes unveiled a breathtaking concept car called Project Maybach a few years ago. Since it was not possible to bring such a car to the streets, Mercedes decided to at least create a special edition for the regular Maybach.

Project Maybach was a homage to the late fashion and furniture designer Virgil Abloh, who passed away in 2021. It was an off-road, massively large, and rustic vehicle painted in a special cappuccino brown color, the same color we see on this Maybach. The show car was equipped with some very cool features, including everything you'd need for a journey in the middle of the wilderness. A notable feature was its "roll cage," if you can call it that, because it also served as a crucial structure for the roof rack. Unlike the usual practice of securing all the bars and struts inside the vehicle, they were completely on the outside.

It's clear that such a concept car will never find its way onto the road. However, Mercedes decided to produce a small series of an exclusive edition.
This Mercedes-Maybach, seen here in Ostrava, is only the second one we've seen on Autogespot.
