This beautiful GTO is rediscovered

The GTO, which has already been spotted in various places, has now been sighted in Savudrija, Croatia. It is an incredible sight to behold a GTO, especially in such a unique shade.

First, we saw this magnificent specimen in Romania, then in Germany, and now in Croatia. It is one of the very few green GTOs, making it an extreme rarity.
In 2011, the 599 GTO was unveiled as the extreme version of the 599 GTB. The lap time at Fiorano is just a glimpse of this car's potential. Equally impressive are the technical specifications: 670 horsepower in a car weighing 1495 kg results in a power-to-weight ratio of just 2.23 kg/hp, enabling an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.35 seconds and a top speed of over 335 km/h.

The GTO's performance is significantly influenced by its innovative approach to suspension development, which, for the first time in a production car, integrates a handling setup tuned to near-limit responsiveness with highly advanced electronic controls. The result is almost no understeer and a truly communicative driving experience.
Under the hood, the Ferrari 599 GTO features an engine derived directly from the 599XX powerplant, with necessary modifications for road use, complying with Euro 5 and LEV 2 emissions standards. The 5,999cc 65-degree V12 engine delivers 670 CV at 8,250 rpm, with a peak torque of 620 Nm at 6,500 rpm, providing a smooth, consistent power delivery up to the redline without sacrificing flexibility, even at medium and low RPMs. This result was achieved through work on fluid dynamics and components to reduce internal friction, including the adoption of the redesigned crankshaft from the 599XX, among other improvements. Additionally, the car boasts a race-style intake system with a new manifold featuring diffuser-like intake geometry and short intake channels, enhancing performance at high RPMs and reducing losses. To maximize volumetric efficiency per cylinder, a connection between the two plenums at the front compensates for volume fluctuations, allowing the engineers to achieve maximum power at high RPMs. The engine sound inside the vehicle is meticulously controlled, harmonizing the intake noise with the exhaust note, which features a 6-in-1 manifold derived from the 599XX.
In conclusion, encountering the rare green GTO in Croatia is a sight to remember, embodying the pinnacle of performance and engineering prowess from Ferrari.
