Many people don’t even know that the F40 GT exists. And for good reason. Only 10 units of this rare vehicle were converted by Ferrari. This particular example is perhaps the most famous of all GTs, as it carries an incredibly exciting history.
In fact, all F40 GTs were originally delivered as standard F40s. The same goes for this car. Then, in 1992, Ferrari decided to sell a kit to private customers for the Italian GT Championship. The F40 modifications included lighter body parts, an upgraded engine, larger brakes and cooling ducts, a suspension with spherical joints, modified wishbones, and much more. This car was also converted in 1992. Afterward, the owner went all in and participated in numerous races. The driver competed in 27 races with this F40 GT, earning seven podium finishes and three victories.

Later, the car was returned to its original form to make it street legal again. In 2013, Ferrari specialists restored the F40 to its true GT configuration. The car even regained its original racing decals. The best part? It received road approval, allowing it to be freely driven on public roads. The current owner still drives it regularly, and we’ve spotted it several times, most recently in Milan.
