A Porsche fan would instantly recognize the car being referred to here - the legendary Porsche 959 Paris Dakar. Normally, this vehicle can be seen at most in the Porsche Museum, but now it's parked in an underground garage next to other beautiful and equally special Porsches.

The Porsche 959 Paris-Dakar is undoubtedly a gem in the history of rally racing and in the world of Porsche. Developed to participate in the famous Paris-Dakar Rally, this vehicle was a masterpiece of engineering and a demonstration of Porsche's technological superiority.
With innovative features such as all-wheel drive, variable torque distribution, and a powerful twin-turbo engine, the 959 Paris-Dakar was far ahead of its time. Its 2.85-liter six-cylinder boxer engine produced over 400 horsepower, giving it impressive acceleration and top speeds on the most challenging terrains.
Despite its limited participation in the rally, the 959 Paris-Dakar achieved great success. In 1986 and 1987, it won the Group B and secured high placements in the overall standings.
To withstand the extreme conditions of the rally, special adjustments were made to the vehicle, including reinforced suspensions, larger fuel tanks, and a more robust body.
With only three units produced in total, the 959 Paris-Dakar is an extremely rare piece today, stirring the hearts of Porsche enthusiasts around the world. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to see such a specimen on the road, as all three units are in the hands of Porsche itself. Occasionally, one can admire this wonderful piece at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.
