The first rays of sunlight had only just slid over the rugged peaks of the Dolomites when San Cassiano slowly woke up. Matte Spots got up early with his brother after receiving a tip about this machine in the Dolomites. Successfully, he managed to spot the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Lanzante. Not a car that belonged on these roads, since the Sesto Elemento isn’t street legal. This was a machine that normally travels in trailers, between private collections and racetracks. A car that officially shouldn’t even be allowed to drive on public roads. Something you usually only see in press photos. Or behind velvet ropes at a concours. Yet here it stood and drove, between bakeries and hiking trails, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. All made possible by Lanzante, who modified the car to make it road legal. The specific adjustments required to make the Sesto Elemento street legal remain shrouded in mystery, but the technical challenges are obvious. The car’s extreme weight-saving measures, lack of sound insulation, minimal safety equipment, and its pure focus on racing all make it a remarkable feat.
