The Toyota FT-1, Toyota's vision for the future. This new concept is launced on the Detroit Motor Show today. Toyota's Calty design studio team, situated in California is responsible for this concept model. Their mission was to create the ultimate sports car. Is this the ultimate sports car?
The FT-1 is inspired by Toyota's 2000 GT from the sixties. Toyota already took the sporty side with their GT-86 and the FT-1 is even a step further. The car has very powerful and sharp lines. The long nose shows the inspiration from the 2000 GT. The steering wheel refers to the Formula 1 and the car also has a head-up display which shows the driver all essential information. If this is Toyota's future, it definitely looks good. Will this be the new Supra, or is this too much?
