Unique Maserati Boomerang shows up in Nice

The Maserati Boomerang was a startling concept car in the beginning of the seventies. In 1971, the car was shown on the exhibition of Torino but the car wasn’t working at that time. In 1972, during the Geneva Motor Show, they came up with a working model. As we can see now, this model is still working!

The design comes from Giorgetto Giugiaro and is quite unique. The long, pointed design are details which we also see in the Maserati Merak, Lotus Esprit and DeLorean DMC-12. The power comes from a 4.7 liters V8, which produces 310 hp. The interior is quite special but we can’t see that on these photos. As far as we know, this is a one-off and it’s still the same model as was shown on the Geneva Motor Show in 1972. More than forty years later, this car is still driving around!
