Since its debut in 1999, the 911 GT3 has embodied the perfect blend of racing performance and everyday practicality. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the latest model will be released in two distinct versions for the first time: a track-oriented sports car featuring a rear wing, and a more subtle variant with the Touring package. Both GT3 models offer a range of bespoke packages and innovative options, allowing customers to personalize the car to match their preferences and driving style.
Porsche is reintroducing the 911 GT3, an exceptionally track-focused road sports car, making its debut in its anniversary year with an enhanced lightweight design. Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine producing 375 kW (510 PS) and 450 Nm, the new GT3 also features a range of customer-centric options. For the first time, the Weissach package is available for the 911 GT3, offering even greater customization for track performance. Additionally, the car comes with upgraded standard equipment and further options that boost its precision and sportiness.

911 GT3 with a modern design
The new 911 GT3 models showcase a refined design, both front and rear, along with enhanced aerodynamics. In both versions, a recontoured front diffuser, a reshaped spoiler lip, and modified underbody fins work together to boost downforce and optimize airflow. The redesigned Matrix LED headlights, available with an optional white accent ring, integrate all the 911's lighting functions, eliminating the need for extra lights in the front apron. This allows for a larger air intake and a more streamlined appearance. At the rear, the diffuser, air intakes, and rear lid have been revamped, while the 911 GT3's rear wing features new angled sideplates for improved performance.
Porsche has equipped the new 911 GT3 with specially developed, aerodynamically optimized trailing arms featuring a teardrop profile on the double-wishbone front axle. These arms enhance downforce in the wheel arch at high speeds and improve brake cooling. To maintain balanced downforce between the front and rear axles during high-speed braking, the suspension engineers have minimized pitching (antidive). On the new 911 GT3, the front ball joint of the lower trailing arm is positioned lower on the front axle to achieve this, a design adopted from the current 911 GT3 RS. The 911 GT3 comes standard with 255/35 ZR 20 front and 315/30 ZR 21 rear sports tires with enhanced wet grip, with the option to upgrade to track tires that are road-legal.

Touring package now available from launch with even more customization
With the latest model update, Porsche has further distinguished the variants of the 911 GT3. For the first time, the popular Touring package will be available right from the market launch. This package traces its roots to the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and has been part of the GT3 lineup since 2017. In the new 911 GT3, the Touring package is even more refined, highlighted by the "911 GT3 touring" logo on the rear lid grille. The Touring version forgoes the fixed rear wing, preserving the classic, elegant lines of the 911. Instead, it features an extendable rear spoiler with a tear-off edge (Gurney flap) and an updated fin design underneath to ensure aerodynamic balance. Inside, the Touring package offers a premium leather interior that combines high-quality craftsmanship with a classic, sporty atmosphere.

For the first time, the 911 GT3 with the Touring package offers an optional rear seat system, giving customers even more flexibility to tailor the sports car for maximum enjoyment on winding roads. This option allows the GT3 to be adapted to everyday use while still delivering the thrilling driving experience Porsche is known for. As Porsche brand ambassador Walter Röhrl notes, “Particularly on winding country roads, you can clearly feel that the steering is even better tuned than its predecessor. It instills even greater confidence in the car because it responds more calmly from the center position without losing any of its directness. The shorter gear ratio also significantly enhances driving pleasure on country roads.”

Lightweight design throughout
The 911 GT3’s low overall weight plays a key role in its agile, responsive handling. The new model fully embraces lightweight construction, starting with a silver-colored aluminum wheel that reduces unsprung mass by over 1.5 kg compared to the previous version. For even greater weight savings, magnesium wheels are available with the Weissach or Leichtbau (lightweight) package, cutting an additional nine kilograms. A new 40 Ah lithium-ion lightweight battery further reduces the car's weight by about four kilograms. In its lightest configuration, the 911 GT3 weighs just 1,420 kilograms, ensuring peak performance and handling.
Eight percent shorter gear ratio
The new 911 GT3's 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine meets today's much stricter emission standards, thanks to its advanced exhaust system with two particulate filters and four catalytic converters. Despite the robust emission control, Porsche ensures the engine still delivers an exhilarating sound. The six-cylinder boxer engine's power has been enhanced through several optimization efforts. The cylinder heads have been revised, and the sharper camshafts - borrowed from the 911 GT3 RS - provide even greater performance, especially in the higher rev range.

In addition to flow-optimized individual throttle valves and improved oil coolers, the 911 GT3’s naturally aspirated boxer engine continues to deliver 375 kW (510 PS). In the lightest vehicle configuration, this means each kilowatt of power moves just 3.8 kilograms (2.8 kg/PS). Both the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) and the 6-speed GT manual transmission feature a final drive ratio that’s eight percent shorter than the previous model. Both gearbox options are available for the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 with Touring package. The new 911 GT3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds with PDK and hits a top speed of 311 km/h (manual gearbox: 3.9 seconds; 313 km/h).
“On the track, the new 911 GT3 enables even better control because it holds even steadier and handles better on bumps and when driving over kerbs thanks to the optimised damper tuning,” says brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister. “The anti-dive system noticeably reduces the pitching movement when braking. As a result, the balance of the car remains significantly more consistent under all conditions.”

Innovative lightweight sports bucket seat
For the new 911 GT3, an optional lightweight sports bucket seat is available, featuring a folding backrest and a seat shell made from CFRP (carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic). This seat comes with an integrated thorax airbag, electric height adjustment, and manual longitudinal adjustment, with an optional three-stage seat heater. A removable section of the headrest padding enhances ergonomics for most drivers when wearing a helmet during track use. The backrest's folding function, activated via a loop, allows easy access to the optional rear seat system, which is offered for the first time in the 911 GT3 with the Touring package. Alternatively, customers can choose the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus, which offer electric 18-way adjustment.
The black two-seater standard cockpit in the new 911 GT3 is designed based on the current 911 models. Unlike the Carrera variants, the 911 GT3 features a rotary ignition switch instead of a start button, further emphasizing its motorsport lineage. An optional roll-over bar underscores its racing heritage. The digital instrument panel in the center aids the driver with a clear and intuitive display and control layout. Thanks to the contrasting color scheme, the rev counter and stopwatch are easy to read at a glance. The “Track Screen” display mode streamlines the digital information to the left and right of the tachometer, focusing on essential data such as tire pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, and fuel levels, while also indicating the optimal shift time with a shift flash. Additionally, the tachometer display can be rotated to position the cut-off speed of 9,000 rpm at the 12 o'clock position for better visibility.

Individual packages for the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring
Porsche offers a variety of equipment packages for the new 911 GT3. With the Weissach package now available for the first time, the 911 GT3 can be further customized for circuit use. Components such as the anti-roll bar, coupling rods, and shear panel on the rear axle are made from CFRP, as are the roof, rear wing side plates, exterior mirror top shells, mirror triangles, and the air blades in the front area. The interior is enhanced with additional leather and Race-Tex upholstery, while the upper dashboard is covered in anti-glare Race-Tex for the first time. CFRP door handles and storage nets contribute to a lightweight design in the interior door panels. Optional features include a CFRP roll cage and magnesium lightweight forged wheels.
For the 911 GT3 with the Touring package, Porsche offers the Leichtbau package, which features a roof painted in the exterior color, along with a stabilizer, coupling rods, and shear panel on the rear axle made from CFRP. The package also includes lightweight magnesium forged wheels and lightweight door panels. When paired with the standard 6-speed GT sports gearbox, the shortened gear lever from the 911 S/T is utilized, and a plaque inscribed with “Leichtbau” is placed in front of the gear lever.
For the 911 GT3 equipped with a rear wing, the Clubsport package is available at no extra cost, designed for track use. This package includes a bolted steel roll cage in the rear, a 6-point harness for the driver, and a hand-held fire extinguisher. Optional lightweight sports bucket seats are required to utilize this package.
“The new 911 GT3 has become even more exhilarating and individual. We dug into a wealth of details and gave it many features that our customers wanted. This allows the GT3 to be adapted even more specifically to the purpose or preferences of the driver,” says Andreas Preuninger, Head of GT Cars.

Exclusive chronograph is a “sports car for the wrist”
Exclusively for owners of the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 Touring, Porsche Design introduces an extraordinary timepiece that embodies the design and performance of these sports cars. The 911 GT3 chronograph and the 911 GT3 Touring chronograph feature the precise, COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.200 movement, complete with a flyback function. The ultra-lightweight titanium case, which can be optionally finished with a black titanium carbide coating, merges sports car aesthetics with contemporary watchmaking.

The GT3 design dial features yellow accents and a hexagonal pattern that reflects the vehicle's instrument panel, while the winding rotor is inspired by the design of the GT3 rims. The dial ring is available in all exterior colors of the 911 GT3 and the Touring package, as well as in hues from the Paint to Sample program. The strap, made from original Porsche interior leather and thread, is tailored to match the vehicle's specific configuration.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 and the Porsche 911 GT3 with the Touring package will be available for order starting at the end of the year.
