Very brutal: Volkswagen Design Vision GTI concept

The Volkswagen group shows some nice concepts during the Wörthersee event, every year. They often do this with special Volkswagens and this year, they’re doing it with the Design Vision GTI concept. Unfortunately, the chance is very small that you will encounter this car on the streets, but this car is definitely brutal!

For now, it will be a one-off, just like the GTI W12 concept from a few years ago. But certain design elements will definitely return to the sporty production models. The Design Vision GTI concept is designed by a few students working at Volkswagen and it looks like they have a lot of success. The new front stands out while at the back, the new C-style is the most outstanding. This special Golf is more than seven centimeters wider and almost six centimeters lower. The car looks way more sporty thanks to the adjustments. Of course, a lot of carbon fiber is used to make this car. The interior of the car got a complete makeover and is completely focused on the driver. Just like every other sports car, this one also has carbon fiber on the inside.

The concept has a twinturbo three liters six-cylinder engine which produces 503 hp and 560 Nm of torque! How does this affect the performance? Only 3.9 seconds are needed to sprint to 100 kph and the top speed is 300 kph. And yes, this car can drive although it’s a concept car.

Have you visited Wörthersee 2013? We would like to have your photos for a report on our frontpage!
