As a partner of Villa d'Este, BMW is present every year and as always they bring a few beautiful concept cars. This year, BMW brings the 3.0 CSL Hommage. A yellow carbon fiber monster which is unprecedented. It's one of the highlights on Villa d'Este where it's normally all about classic cars.
The bad news about this model is the fact that BMW isn't planning to produce this new 3.0 CSL. BMW just uses the event in Italy to show something cool. In its bright yellow colour the BMW definitely stands out between all the classics on this beautiful location at Lake Como. The complete bodywork is made out of carbon fiber to keep the weight as low as possible. This car has quite a few similarities with the old 3.0 CSL. The fins on the front, the rear window and of course the enormous spoiler on the back. In the front we find BMW's famous six-cylinder engine. The car does run but unfortunately it will never be used the way it should be used. Those who want to see the 3.0 CSL Hommage can probably find it in the BMW Museum when this event is over.
