We won't need to tell you that every car manufacturer is downsizing nowadays. Porsche introduced the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman recently and both cars are powered by a four-cylinder engine. Jaguar will now probably also introduce a four-cylinder F-Type.
A mule of an F-Type was spotted which was probably powered by a four-cylinder engine. Remarkable is the central exhaust which we've never seen on an F-Type before. The car website Motor1.com found out that this spotted copy is registered since 1 April and powered by a 2.0 turbo four-cylinder engine. We think that this engine comes from the Jaguar XE which produces 240 hp. We're pretty sure that the engine will be more powerful in the F-Type. We don't know when Jaguar will introduce this version of the F-Type but it's great to know that the Porsche 718 will get a competitor. Let's be honest, with the lovely design of this Jaguar you probably won't even miss the two missing cylinders.
