Anyone who, in today’s world, slapped a body kit on a car in the league of the Carrera GT would probably be cursed by all car enthusiasts. However, the Mirage GT doesn’t come from today’s era but from a time when it was still more acceptable to mount a body kit on such a vehicle. The Mirage GT has long achieved cult status and is widely accepted as such.
The original Carrera GT was modified in 2006, three years after the Carrera GT was introduced. It was a time when tuning with distinctive kits that covered the entire car was booming. Brands like Gemballa, Hamann, AC Schnitzer, Fab Design, Techart, and Mansory gained immense popularity during those years. That such kits would be deeply regretted in later years was not yet clear, and some of these brands still exist today. However, the hype has significantly decreased.
With an optimized 5.7-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, it delivers 670 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, and reaches over 335 km/h. The design impresses with lightweight carbon fiber components, an aggressive look, and improved aerodynamics. Only 25 units were produced worldwide, making it one of the most exclusive hypercars.
