The guys from GT Scotland must've thought the same, since they organised a roadtrip through Europe. GT Scotland is an organisation for and by petrolheads who bring fellow car enthusiasts together for events like these. This year they did the trip with a Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, TVR Tuscan, TVR Sagaris, Lotus Elise, Ariel Atom and to top it off a 760-hp Ford GT.

Sep 2, 2016, 3:59 PM In contrary to iPhones, sometimes a car increases in value when a new version is (about to be) released. This is what happened to the Ford GT. Especially during the selection process the old Ford GT experienced an increase in value because many people thought they would have a higher chance of getting selected for the new GT if their collection included an old GT. In hindsight this may not have mattered much to Ford but that's a topic for another day. The Ford GT is worth a lot more today than when it was released. Luckily this doesn't withhold some owners of still driving the car, especially in the United States. Unfortunately not everyone is as as careful/wise when they take it out, which is confirmed by this crash.

Most people expect supercar owners to track their cars and always have them in sport mode etc etc. Usually these people criticising don’t own a supercar, or even have their drivers license but that doesn’t withhold them from voicing their opinion. It is remarkable however that not many supercar owners track their cars. This may have many different reasons, of course the owner may not like to track their car, or the cost of tracking is too high. However what many people don’t know is that most car manufacturers have a special clause in the warranty information voiding the warranty for damage or repairs due to usage on the racetrack.

In 2012 a 1964 GTO was dubbed ‘the most expensive car in the world’ by selling at auction for $32 million. A few months later that title was stripped away and taken by another (1963) GTO that sold for $35 million. If you can now find a GTO in that price range it’s considered a steal!
