The 10th anniversary of the Zoute Grand Prix was a splendid edition. Whether you’re talking about the auction, contestants or the cars showcased, everything was more than spectacular ; they never disappoint.
It’s actually much more than just a car event but a real enthusiast gathering. Every year you get to meet new people with the same passion, discover new cars with amazing designs.
The Bonhams auction house was also present during the event totalizing more than 10 millions euro. Over 40 lots including some highlights such as :
- Ferrari 275 GTB/2 Longnose sold for €2,875,000 inc. premium
- Ferrari Enzo sold for €1,506,000 inc. premium
- Mercedes 300SL Roadster sold for €1,035.000 inc. premium
- Ferrari F40 sold for €920,000 inc. premium
- Ferrari F12TDF sold for €687,190 inc. Premium
The Concours d’Elegance was truly spectacular showcasing amazing cars with great histories. Jacky Ickx was also there to present the Porsche Jacky Ickx limited edtion, 75 pieces only and did a moving speech regarding his career.
The two winners were respectively the Mercedes 540 K Cabriolet A (1936) and the Ferrari 166 Barchetta Touring.
The Mercedes had a 83 units production and won many prizes including the « Class J-2 » Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach.
The Ferrari won 70 years ago in 1949 the 24 Heures du Mans and the Mille Miglia, one year before she also received the Targa Florio. The 166 features a V12 2,0 liters.
5 hypecars were also showcased during the Concours which was a first, the five cars were never showed at the same moment anywhere else in the world.
The Bugatti Centodieci, EB110 hommage and only 10 units produced, the Bugatti Chiron Sport, the Dallara Stradale, the Pininfarina Battista with only 150 units, the De Tomaso P72, an hommage to the De Tomaso P70 and only 72 units produced. And last but not least, the Krugger prototype with a Bentley engine.
