Ferrari SF90 is Peak Hybrid Hypercar

If you’re looking for top-of-the-line luxury, look no further than the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which is an impressive Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, or a PHEV, but that doesn’t hinder its performance in the least, rather it is used to bolster its performance. Featuring dynamic exterior styling and a variety of carbon fiber parts, this hypercar is sure to turn heads wherever you go. The neat thing about the Stradale is that it’s not a hypercar spin-off from an existing model, it’s a brand new model new to the Ferrari family.

Plug-In Hybrid Electric

The SF90 Stradale is the first vehicle in the Ferrari line-up to be a Plug-in Electric Vehicle. If you’re running in full electric mode, you’re sadly only going to be able to get around 15 miles of driving distance with the 7.9 kWh EV battery. While that’s not a long distance to drive, you’ll be able to enjoy no engine noise in that mode and an impressive 39 miles per gallon. When running only on gasoline, the SF90 gets around 18 miles per gallon and around 51 miles per gallon when using both the electric motor and gasoline engine.

Knowing where you can charge your EV can be helpful, but you can also have electric vehicle charging stations installed at your home for convenience. Having your own charging station means you can plug it in when you get home, and you don’t have to worry about it until you have to go out and drive again.

Feel The Speed

The SF90 Stradale is a blistering fast hybrid hypercar, it will get up to 211 miles per hour with 986 horsepower. This sleek hybrid easily goes from 0 to 60 in only 2.5 seconds and 0 to 124 in only 6.7 seconds, which is pretty impressive. As of 2020, it’s the fastest Ferrari road car on the Fiorano Circuit.

When compared to the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Stradale has 986 horsepower versus 949, but the LaFerrari has a top speed of 218 miles per hour. The LaFerrari can also go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in only 2.4 seconds. On its own, the Stradale produces 769 horsepower with 590 lb-ft of torque, and with the three electric motors it has, it has an overall output of 986 horsepower. When it's only in electric mode it gets to around 84 miles per hour.

Fewer Emissions

The good news is that if you care about the environment, this is a good car for you. PHEVs are known to produce lower tailpipe admissions than traditional vehicles. Lower emissions mean cleaner air, which is why a hybrid car is a good choice. Gasoline and diesel-fueled cars are known to produce harmful toxins that harm the environment. Fewer tailpipe emissions mean a healthier climate and hope for the future.

Tax Incentives

If you’re looking for more benefits from owning a hybrid hypercar, look no further. The Stradale is one of the many vehicles eligible for a federal tax credit. You can check out this list for more information on that. Tax credits give incentives to consumers that encourage them to switch to a hybrid car because they’re better for the environment.

While the Ferrari SF90 Stradale has a hefty price tag of $625,000, it’s worth the price if you’re looking for luxury, performance, and a PHEV option. The outstanding horsepower and the three engines make this an attractive option for those looking for something more. The Stradale is not the fastest Ferrari, but it’s still a good choice if you’re looking for a fast luxury car with a hybrid option.
