Geneva 2014: Audi S1

Audi’s smallest car can’t be missed on the show. It’s the most fun compact toy from Ingolstadt and a yellow coloured copy can be found on Audis stand. The car definitely stands out and we couldn’t miss it on the show. Yes, we like it!

The big advantage of tuning small cars is the fact that you can do whatever you like. When you tune a big car like the Audi S8 it soon turns into something distasteful but luckily this Audi S1 does look tasteful. Audi learned from their mistakes in the past. The Audi S3 always had two exhausts instead of four and that resulted in a lot of critics. An S model has to stand out and the S3 didn’t stand out enough. The S1 does. At the back we see four exhausts and at the front we see several details like we know from the other sporty models by Audi.

Under the hood we find a four cylinder engine which produces 231 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The car sprints to 100 kph in 5.8 seconds. It could’ve been faster but maybe a future Audi RS1 will be this fast. The Audi S1 can be seen as a car which is perfect to have fun with. The Quattro system helps you through every corner and the car steers like a go-kart. We’re looking forward to the reviews of this car!
