This American brute can’t be missed in Geneva. We saw the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray on last year’s show and this year it’s time for something more brutal. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is present and it was quite hard to return to the press room after our visit to this car. What an amazing car! The many details draw a lot of attention, partly because of the beautiful colour. We start to understand why the Americans prefer a Corvette over a SRT Viper.
The previous generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06 wasn’t sweet already but this generation looks even more brutal. The V8 with a supercharger produces up to 625 hp and 861 Nm of torque. Ferrari and McLaren have a hard time keeping up with this Corvette. Still you won’t have to be afraid that your Corvette will only be faster in straights. Corvette made three additional packages for the car of which the Z07 package is the most brutal one. This package creates more downforce than ever before on a Chevrolet Corvette. You can be sure that some owners of European sports cars start to get nervous when this car appears in their rearview mirror!
