Keeping a supercar under control, in reality it's always a lot trickier than you might expect in the first case. Especially the Gumpert Apollo is not the easiest car to keep under control, which is proven by this story and pictures. In Haßfurt, Germany, a Gumpert Apollo crashed last week. The 800 bhp strong Gumpert wasn't controlable anymore, with a lot of damage as a result.
During an overtaking action the 49-year old driver lost control over the wheel, after which he faced-up with the crash barrier. For the car, this resulted into a serious damage which is, after Gumpert's bankrupt, possibly irreparabler. The car which was overtaken preverted himself and the Gumpert for worse things, unfortunately the driver of the overtaken car has got a whiplash after this unfortunate adventure. The Gumpert's driver hasn't got any injuries. The damage for the crash barrier was over €8.000.
