Jaguar’s über limousine can’t be missed on the IAA in Frankfurt. This European scoop is shining on Jaguar’s stand with its supercharged V8 next to the C-X17. The Jaguar XJR is improved compared with the standard XJ.
The XJR has the same V8 as other XJ models but this ‘R’ produces 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque. Enough to make the limousine sprint to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds. The power is transferred to the wheels by an eight speed gearbox. The undercarriage is improved to raise the sportiness to a higher level. Jaguar gave the XJR a beautiful bodykit with beautiful and lightweight 20 inch wheels. AThe XJ Supersport Ringtaxi probably contributed to the development of this R, this Ringtaxi is daily driving on the Nordschleife on very high speeds.
