New York 2014: Corvette Z06 Convertible

Is th Corvette Z06 Convertible one of the most beautiful cars of the New York Motor Show? We dare to say it is! Where the previous generation was only available as coupé, Corvette now offers the sensational Z06 also as a convertible.

With a power of 625 hp and 861 Nm of torque, this Z06 is the most powerful convertible by Chevrolet ever. This is the first Z06 Convertible since the Z06 optional package was introduced in 1063. Inexperienced drivers must not try to tame this beast!

Corvette says that not much cabriolets offer the same experience as the Z06 Convertible. The combination of more than 600 hp, rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox isn’t very popular nowadays. Unfortunately we don’t know how much time it will take to sprint to 100 kph yet.

The performance of the car perfectly fits the exterior of the Z06 Convertible. With the many air intakes and carbon fiber details, the Corvette breaths sportiness. Compared with the Corvette Stingray, the fenders of the Corvette Z06 are 56 millimeters wider at the front and even 80 millimeters at the back. This widening makes the Corvette Z06 look even more brutal. What’s your opinion about this brute?
