Travel report Moscow 2012: back to a metropole full of contrasts

Back at the place where we were a year ago and where we went crazy about this city because of its versatility and the extravagance of a unique city, Moscow. We went back to make new reports, see more of the city and to conquer the freezing cold. To finish our series of reports which were published in the last three months, we now have a detailed repot about our journey. A report in which we would like to share our experiences in Moscow with you.

Feb 12, 2013, 4:00 PM oIn 1939, the Russians built an enormous exposition- and amusement park in Ostankinsky District, Moscow. The VDNKh is as big as Monaco and is full of socialistic pieces of art. Via a big triumphal arch, the main entrance, we enter the 207 acres big park with two TopCars. We are about to have a fun evening with two Porsche Cayennes. The Vantage 2 and the first project of TOpCar, the Advantage GT. With the Advantage GT, we go back to the beginning of the company TopCar, because this is the first car the company made and which made them famous.

Feb 3, 2013, 4:02 PM Everybody has a certain image about some countries. In Moscow, people from Holland are sometimes named ‘Orange people’. A funny word for the people from the home country of Autogespot, but this column is about the Russians, or about the Russian petrolhead, to be precise. The story starts in 2007, when the first exclusive spots from Moscow are uploaded on Autogespot. The last five year, Moscow is put on the map as a great city for spotting but also as a city where tuning, power and exclusivity are bigger than ever. But what makes someone a real Russian petrolhead? In December last year, we talked with one of the many young Muscovites who can be described as one of the many young petrolheads of the new Russian generation. It definitely was a very interesting encounter.

Somewhere distant in an old district we are heading to König Motor Club. You won’t find this showroom on a prominent location as we’re used to in Europe. We are at the König Motor Club, a name which we mention quite regularly on Autogespot. This name stands for all that is fast, expensive and luxurious. But what is the König Motor Club and what makes this company so special? We headed to the König Motor Club to find out why there so special. The slogan of the company already shows us why. In the following report of Moscow we will show you the special world of the König Motor Club.

Moscow 2012: report TopCar Inferno

Jan 6, 2013, 3:45 PM Inferno, that’s the name of the newest project of this Russian tuner. A big inspiration for this project are the current Black Series projects by Mercedes-Benz AMG. It is the newest car by TopCar which is introduced on the TopLine exhibition. SUVs are very popular in Russia and especially in Moscow. The Inferno is a perfect car for this and on a cold winter day in December, we had a few hours to enjoy the car.

Dec 25, 2012, 4:29 PM Moscow, the city with dozens of millionaires. In winter, the city is full of luxurious limousines and tuned SUV’s by tuners like TopCar or Mansory. The introduction of Autogespot with TopCar started last year during an an amazing week. Between 10 and 16 December we visited Moscow again. This time to conquer cold temperatures of the Russian winter but especially to enjoy the beautiful city, its history and its cars. Our first of a series of reports starts with a report of the TopLine exhibition. A place where the rich elite meets to spoil themselves.
