Earlier than planned, some photos of the Audi RS6 Avant C7 were leaked. Nowadays it seems quite hard to keep the pictures for yourself. We don’t really care about that because we can only appreciate this superfast Audi! This Audi RS6 will get a V8 with a twinturbo which produces 560 bhp. We were wondering why the car has less power than its predecessor but thanks to the press release we now know why.

The car lost quite some weight. Partly because of the Audi ultra lightweight build. Next to that, the car is more efficient than its predecessor. That isn’t that hard with 2 cylinders less but the car is also equipped with some new techniques. The Cylinder on Demand (COD) system is standard on this car. At low engine speed the systems shuts of four cylinders. As soon as the driver asks for more power, the four cylinders are switched on. Next to the COD system it is standard to place a start/stop system in the car and combined with all these systems it saves up to 40 percent compared with its predecessor.

The sprint from zero to 100 km/h takes only 3.9 seconds. The top speed is dependable on the package you choose. Instead of one package, there are three packages available. It’s still possible to reach a speed of faster than 300 km/h. In its standard specification the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. With the optional Dynamic package, the top speed rises to 280 km/h and with the Dynamic Plus package you will even reach 305 km/h.

The Audi RS6 Avant is expected in the second quarter of 2013, the price will isn’t announced yet.
