Spotter Jordii93 caught sight of a special RUF in Barcelona. This is the first RT12 spotted in Spain. It’s not surprising that this model is rarely seen, as only 13 units were built.
The RUF RT12 is based on the Porsche 997 platform, but RUF went beyond simply modifying the car's appearance. Under the hood lies a modified 996 Turbo engine block, making this RT12 a remarkable predecessor to the Porsche 997 Turbo, which Porsche later introduced. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, optimized by RUF, produces an impressive 650 horsepower. As a result, the RT12 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 360 km/h.
