Visiting Brabus is always one of the highlights of the year for us. The amount of hospitality and the granting of almost all our wishes isn't something you see too often. Its quite convenient that one of our crew members is staying in Dubai for a while, because now we can take a look at Brabus Middle East (situated in Dubai, one of the largest markets for Brabus) after our visit to Bottrop.
The ones who have been to Brabus in Bottrop would have been surprised about the huge compound that belongs to the well-known tuner and customizer of (mostly) Mercedes-Benz. There are huge halls in which cars are being assembled and parts undergo testing. You won't find these in Dubai. Of course cars are also assembled here, but the testing all takes place in Germany.
Personalization and individualisation, that's what it's all about in Dubai. You have to do something to stand apart from the crowd after all. So at Brabus Middle East it's mostly about tailoring the cars to the local customer's needs. That the taste of exotic car buyers in Dubai kan be pretty... exuberantly, has been proven by the many spots on this website. In the workshop of Brabus we found quite a lot of outstanding models, which were all driven out of the shop especially for us. Take for example the bizarrely quick and insanely designed Mercedes-Benz Brabus E V12, wich draws a lot of attention with its closed rear wheel arches. Interestingly enough the engine noise is practically absent, which is a total contrast compared to the gold Brabus S 900. Roaring, hissing, it's all part of the show. Roaring is something that the Brabus G 700 and S 850 are also very good at. In that prospect driving a Brabus is quite an attraction!
After our visit to the company we went on a drive with a very typical car for Dubai and one which drew quite a lot of attention. More on that later, because putting that report next to all this beauty from the Brabus workshop would simply do Brabus short. The reception and cooperation by Radwan Ali and his staff was too special for that!
The pictures below have been made by Niels Keekstra and Stephan Dufornee, thanks to Brabus Middle East!
