Tragedy: Audi R8 crashes and driver burns alive
Jun 23, 2013, 8:00 PM It looks like there are crashing supercars in Germany every week. Most often it ends good with drivers and passengers, sometimes it ends in a real horror. Sadly, the incident which took place near Jülich in Germany was one of those last cases, with the death of the Audi R8-driver as a result. This story is a real tragedy.

Maserati GranTurismo-successor will be more compact
Jun 23, 2013, 2:39 PM The current Maserati GranTurismo seems to be too spacious, if we can believe the words of Maserati’s designers. The successor of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio, which is to be expected in 2015, will be much more compact and more of a 2+2 than the car is now. Hopefully they will keep the beautiful design, because this car still catches loads of attention, even after six years.

Mercedes-Benz's pocket rocket is on the road!
Jun 23, 2013, 1:08 PM Shmee150 describes the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG as a real pocket rocket, a properly good and fast hot hatch. With the highest specific power of all road-going cars of the moment, this A 45 AMG has to be a really quick car. How fast exactly, can be seen in the following clip. Shmee150 was the first to capture a particular spot, but the day before, mellos was lucky enough to capture a silver grey copy.

Movie: Autocar gets a taste of the Jaguar C-X75!
Jun 22, 2013, 2:41 PM At the beginning of this year, Jaguar came with some sad news. The C-X75 was put on hold and the development was stopped. Although, there are still some prototypes equipped with this four-cylinder engine. This twincharged four-cylinder produces 500 hp in the C-X75 and because the C-X75 is a plug-in hybrid, the electric engines produces another 390 hp! This engine is specially developed by Jaguar and it has the same emission as a medium Toyota! Autocar had the change to drive a few laps in this upcoming supercar and they are pretty enthusiast. Maybe this is a reason for Jaguar to continue the development of this car?

Event: Vanishing Point 2013
Jun 22, 2013, 1:08 PM Last May, Italy was full of supercars. Next to the Grande Giro from Lamborghini the Mille Miglia also took place. Next to those two events, a smaller party was celebrated at Pagani. A small meeting with some Zonda’s and Huayra’s was organized and got the name Vanishing Point. It was a nice meeting with all sorts of Pagani’s. We got some pictures, not much but it gives a nice impression of this event with supercars! Something you won’t see very often again!

Burned Audi RS4 is a real strange sighting
Jun 22, 2013, 11:37 AM The spots from London keep coming and a lot of them are highlighted in the category ‘Combo & Strange Sightings’ because they are so outstanding because of their colour, tuning or the big combo which is spotted at Harrods or the Dorchester hotel. In this case, we also have a strange sighting but this spot stands out because of the state of the car. No shining paint, only a bunch of steel on a the back of a truck. Only some optical characteristics show us that this was a Audi RS4 Avant B5 once!

Supercars shooting flames in a tunnel!
Jun 21, 2013, 9:29 PM Gasoline, it doesn't only smell good, it also burns very good. A lot of engines work on gasoline and burn gasoline. Still, sometimes the gasoline doesn't burn up in the engine and is thrown into the exhaust. No big deal except for the fact that this results in some nice flames. The Ferrari F430 as wel as the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 spit some nice flames out of their exhausts!
