You don’t see concept cars on the street very often. It happened before with a Maybach Excelero in Monaco, as well as a Maserati Cagebird. The fact that this won’t happen very often has its own reasons. Some concept cars don’t even have a transmission while others are simply not allowed on the street. You can see they don’t bother about this in Italy. The Giugiaro Brivido isn’t ready for production at all. Despite this, the car was spotted in Garda, where it got a lot of attention.
Under the hood you will find the hybrid system from the Porsche Panamera V6 Hybrid. Giugiaro is part of VAG, which gave them enough possibilities for the transmission of the car. The Giugiaro Brivido is a Gran Turismo of almost 5 meters. The design is very special with a lot of different lines. You can see that this concept has very small mirrors, too small to use properly, so this will most likely change before the car gets in production. The mirrors will also act as cameras on this car, to compensate the lousy view to the back. The interior of the car is really special because it is really different. Nowadays you see beautiful smooth interiors, but not inside this car. In the end, it is a very special which we love to see on the streets. But this will probably never happen. Giugiaro will almost certainly never present a production model.
