Spotted in Monroe (NC), United States of America

Vipers are pretty uncommon sightings in North Carolina, but the older ones are particularly hard to spot. I was pretty pumped when I stumbled upon this parked outside some sort of small office building in Monroe when my brother and I were driving to the beach. I am trying to get a spot from all 100 NC counties, and I believe this (Union County) is the seventh county I have represented on AG.

Awesome find! It seems these older Vipers are vanished.

@hardstyler thanks buddy! Unfortunately I think most people buy older Vipers while they're cheap and hiding them away in their collections. '90s exotics in general are getting really hard to spot, I haven't seen a 348, F355, Esprit, or Diablo in years.

@jasper1 I hope you spot one soon! You really do just have to get lucky with these cars. They're not out of reach for most car enthusiasts like a Ferrari or Lambo, but they're very hardcore and thus hardly ever get driven. I've only seen one other Viper this year.

@NCspotter That second shot is pretty awesome, Nick. Great catch, brother. Once again it was nice logging in on AG this morning to see that you have posted up several cool spots. It just made my Monday!

@Horse-Power thanks buddy! I was on vacation until a week ago so I hadn't had a chance to post anything. I rarely ever see '90s exotics anymore so it was really cool to stumble across this.

@thomcarspotter thanks man! Yes that's my GTI, I bought it in April because the transmission in the A6 started having issues (you can see it in the third pic of this spot - https://www.autogespot.com/lamborghini-huracan-lp580-2/2016/07/28). It is a 2009, so it has the TSI engine that is also in the Mk6 models instead of the FSI found in the earlier Mk5 GTIs. I would have offered to trade with the owner but no one was around, lol.

@thomcarspotter the Mk5 GTI is a a little uncommon here but not insanely rare. The Mk6 and definitely Mk7 are a lot more common though. Mine is the rarest configuration of the Mk5, it is the four-door model with the manual transmission. Most of the other Mk5 GTIs I've seen since I bought mine are two door models, and the few four-doors I've seen usually had the DSG automatic transmission. I'm planning on driving it for a while until I find either an Audi UrS4/S6 or a Honda AP2 S2000 that I can afford lol. Long term I really want a Lotus Elise or Evora 400. Was it you that has the motorcycle? I remember seeing one of the European spotters leave a comment on an American spot saying something about owning a motorcycle.
