Created six years ago by Lord Pembroke and Jay Broom, WCS is a family friendly classic and supercar show aimed at delighting all members of the family, not just petrolheads, there are lots of interesting exhibits, child friendly stands and delicious food options with a garden party feel.
Held in the grounds of Wilton House, the ancestral home of the Earl of Pembroke, the show combines the spectacle of supercars in procession, with the elegance and beauty of classic cars. Major car manufacturers combine with local main dealers to give visitors the widest possible choice of new cars to look at.
This year was no different, I had the pleasure of photographing the whole event including the convoy of 175 supercars. The highlights of the show were two Mclaren F1, of which one was the actual F1 car which set the world record for the fastest car in the world. There were a couple of Bugatti Veyrons, a Ferrari Enzo and a Pagani Zonda - All placed in the hypercar section.
Another key section of the show was the Classic vs Modern Supercar display which showed classics such as the 300SL go head to head against a black series Mercedes SLS and the generations of the 599 GTO. The Lamborghini Miura also went head to head with the latest Lamborghini - the Huracan.
